We are offering a residency for an artist (or pair of artists), 6 January- 2 March 2020.
Both floors of the gallery will be given as free studio space (approx. 38 m2 total) for 6 weeks, and will culminate in a 2-week artist led exhibition.
The selected artist will have a focus on site-specific work and community engagement.
The intention of the residency is to broaden the experiences of both the artist and our audience. In order to do this, the artist will be expected to give regular opportunities during the residency for visitors to come in, ask questions and watch the artistic process unfold.
The gallery will share your progress on our website, in our newsletter and on our social media.
There is no application fee to enter, nor a fee for the residency or the show, but the artist should provide their own materials.
The residency is open to all artists regardless of sex, age, race, disability, sexual orientation, or religion.
Please email a PDF with your proposal for the residency. This should include 100 words for each of the 4 sections below, plus 5 images of your work, a cv/bio and a link to your website(s).
- What you plan to make during your residency.
- How the residency will develop your artistic practice.
- How you intend to engage with the public.
- An outline of your practice.
