2 – 30 Aug 2024
In this year’s Summer Window, we are pleased to present a display of the work of Ali Clarke and Gary Scholes, local artists with individual practices who enjoy collaborating to produce public art and small sculptural works.
Ali Clarke is a London-based artist who works in mixed media sculpture and installation, in addition to curating and managing arts projects. She received a BA(Hons) in Spatial Design from Buckinghamshire College and an MA in Public Art – Theory and Practice at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Her concrete paintings, architectural sculptures and installations embrace her journey through architecture and set design. She has exhibited sculptural work in galleries in London, Surrey and Sussex and created site-specific installations in outdoor locations including Gatton Park, Reigate and Orleans House Gallery, Richmond.
Since graduating from Maidstone College of Art, where he received a BA Hons in Fine Art- Printmaking, Gary Scholes has exhibited paintings, prints and sculptures in numerous group shows in the UK including exhibitions in London, the South East and Northern England. This includes selected shows at South Hill Park, Teddington Landmark Arts Centre, Leyden Gallery, Royal Festival Hall and Wells Art Contemporary.
