ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Gabriele Risso (b. 1992, Genoa, Italy) is a sculptor currently living and working in London, UK. He studied Sculpture at the Ligustica Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa and the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, Milan, before continuing his training in Paris and London. These diverse experiences have profoundly shaped his approach to sculpture. In 2020, he was commissioned by the Salesian community to create a permanent, site-specific installation for the Museo Casa Don Bosco in Turin. Since then, he has continued to develop his practice through exhibitions across the UK. He became a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors in 2024, and in 2025 he was awarded the Marsh Award for Best in Show at the Society’s Summer Exhibition and selected as a finalist for the First Plinth Award.

Kaixiang Zhang is a Chinese artist living and working in London, UK. He holds a BA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts (2022), and is currently completing an MFA in Fine Art (Media) at the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Zhang has presented his work in group exhibitions at venues including The blackShed Gallery, Robertsbridge, UK (2025); The Koppel Project, London, UK (2025); BN9 Studio, Newhaven, UK (2024); Towner Eastbourne, Eastbourne, UK (2024); Chelsea College of Arts, London, UK (2022); Truman Brewery, London, UK (2019) and UN Headquarters, New York, US (2017). In 2025, Zhang was awarded the Doddington Young Sculptor Award from Doddington Hall & Gardens, Lincoln, UK. He was an artist in residence at Transit, Towner Eastbourne, UK (2024).

Semin Hong is a South Korean artist (1995, Pennsylvania) who lives and works in London, UK. She studied MA Fine Art at UAL Chelsea College of Arts in London and BFA Painting at Hongik University in Seoul. She was previously an artist in residence at Sarabande Foundation (est. Lee Alexander McQueen) and now is in The Bomb Factory Art Foundation.

Lorenzo Bucci (b. 1999, Lodi, Italy) currently lives and works in London. He completed his BA in Fine Art and History of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2022. He attended the Conditions Studio Programme in Croydon (2023–24) and LungA School in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland (2025). His recent exhibitions include Every Worm Trampled is a Star, Santi Gallery, London (2025) In the Star it was as Black as Tar, Mezzanine Studios, London (2025), and Le nuvole vanno e vengono, sembrano animali, ma li vedono solo i bambini at hARTslane, London (2024).

George Wigley lives and works in London. He holds a BA in Painting from BA Painting, Camberwell College of Arts (2020) and BA in Maths and Philosophy from Balliol College, Oxford (2002). Wigley makes sculptural and wall-based three-dimensional work that places discarded objects in new systems or contexts that play on their function through their form or materiality. He is interested in the complexity and scale of the everyday infrastructure that surrounds us, and how our relationships to objects change when they stop being useful to us.
